    Why are the countries listed for all the places, except for the ones in N.America?

    @Jocaster- you are correct. The reason is this website is written by Americans, and as is so common with so many Americans, they assume the US is the base reference for everyone, and that everyone is intimately familiar with all aspects of that country. Consequently i) they don’t even think people may not know these places are in the US, and ii) as they consider everyone uses the US as the default country they then state if another country.

    It’s insulting and arrogant I know, but it’s the reason.
