Georgia Bradley was just enoying a day on a remote beach in Greece while her boyfriend was at a nearby cafe. However, her vacation took a turn when two men she didn’t know approached her.

The 25-year-old said they started harassing her, and once she rejected their advances, they became aggressive.

Bradley said:

“I decided to go for a walk along the beach, and found two Greek men who kept harassing me to go out for a drink. I kept telling them I didn’t want to. Then one of them grabbed me on the arm and I didn’t know what was going to happen. I was on my own and it was a very scary and difficult situation.”

Suddenly, a small black dog ran over and began barking at the men. The attackers ran off, and the dog followed Bradley back to her apartment.

The dog was known to walk around the town alone and tried to get tourists’ attention. She named her Pepper.

She tried to get a local animal shelter to take the dog in, but they refused. And her vacation was ending.

“When we left to go to the airport, we looked back and Pepper was running after the car. It was heartbreaking. When I got home I couldn’t stop thinking about her so I took the soonest flight back out that I could, which was two weeks later.”

She spent five weeks searching for the dog, and finally found her at Georgiupoli beach in Crete, the same place the men had attacked her.

Finally, Bradley got to adopt Pepper and brought her back to the UK. It cost thousands of dollars, including getting the dog microchipped and vaccination. A pet passport requires a 21 day stay in quarantine. But, for Bradley, it was all worth it.

Pepper then had a further surprise for her new owner, as she gave birth to six puppies.

“It’s been such a crazy journey,” Bradley added. “But I am over the moon.”
