In Honolulu, Hawaii, there’s one cat who doesn’t mind getting wet. In fact, this feline loves the water so much, he’s even taken up surfing!

Kuli, whose name means ‘to look blind’, is an orange and white feline with only one eye – ergo the name. A year ago he was rescued and underwent eye surgery. While recovering from his operation, Kuli took lots of baths, which explains his unusual tolerance for the water!

Now living in a loving home, Kuli spends most of his days going swimming and surfing with his humans Alexandra Gomez and Krista Littleton. A literal catfish, if you will. Head on over to Instagram to see more of Kuli’s adventures in the water.

Kuli is safe on his surfing adventures on a special board.

“His first time in the water, we just let him float on the board by himself near the shoreline and I would paddle around with him,” Ms Gomez told dailymail.

“Before we knew it we were looking for waves to surf.”

“Before he could swim confidently on his own, Kuli always wore a life jacket”

“He still wears it from time to time depending on the conditions – but we are careful not to take him out if it is too windy or the water is too rough,” says Ms Gomez.
