One amazing cat, in Russia, who lost his ability to walk on his hind legs is now helping sick animals.
Lyutsik fell out of a window and damaged his spine, and his back legs were paralyzed. He was just a kitten and was taken to an animal clinic in Perm, Russia. After recovering from his accident, Lyutsik devoted his life to helping other animals at the clinic.
Meet Komari. At five weeks, she was found abandoned and all alone. Looking hungry and sickly, she needed a new home.
Charlie dog died of cancer 2 weeks ago. Scout kitty loved him more than anything.
The first night I brought her home at 5.5 weeks old, she couldn’t sleep unless she was nestled up to my doggy.
There has been a recent spike in the sales of IKEA doll beds in Japan. Those innovative and quirky Japanese have re-purposed the $20 Duktig mini-bed to allow their cats and rabbits to get a good night’s sleep.
Officially a toy bed for children’s dolls, it appears to be IKEA’s first (unwitting) foray into the pet furniture market.
The beds come with miniature pillows and blankets, and for those owners with more than one pet, they can be made into bunk beds.
Judging by the positively peaceful, sleepy pets in the pictures below, this is surely the beginning of a ‘beds for pets’ movement.
Thor is a gorgeous Bengal Cat whose orange fur, stripes and dots, and piercing green eyes make him nothing short of majestic. Named after a god in Norse mythology, Thor’s humans say that he ruler of the land.
“I definitely feel like his servant! Whenever he opens his mouth, we are ready to serve him, but I gotta admit that we get lots of love in place for it!” Rani Cucicov, Thor’s owner, told Bored Panda.
With looks like this, we have a feeling that this handsome feline rarely hears the word “no.” Check him out!
Cat lovers everywhere can officially rejoice because there is a 25,000-square-foot cat sanctuary filled with 495 cats ready and eager to cuddle with you.
This cat lover’s dream is located on the tiny island of Lanai, as in Hawaii. Before you get discouraged by the distance, think about another time you might get to play with 100 plus cats all day and then go sunbathing.
Probably never. So, this could be your only shot.
The Lanai Cat Sanctuary is a magical land where cats roam free, completely uncaged. The cats can walk, jump and explore wherever they please.
The executive director of the sanctuary, Keoni Vaughn, literally calls the oasis the “Furr Seasons.” With a pun like that, it has to be good.
Unfortunately, the cat haven is only open to the public for a few hours every day. So if you do make your way to heaven, get ready to shove anyone who tries to get in your way of hanging with these pretty felines.
If you can’t make the trip to Hawaii, you can sponsor one through its “adopt in place” program.
And if a kitty never gets adopted, no problem. It can live out its days at the sanctuary. And honestly, that sounds like a nice option.
For anyone who loves these animals, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. And people are starting to take note.
Admittedly, a trip to this furry location might be more expensive than just visiting your local animal shelter, but if you’ve been wanting to visit Hawaii AND adopt a cat lately, why not kill two birds with one stone?
For now, you can just chill out and fuel your cat addiction with the pictures below:
Before Princess the cat became paralyzed, she gave birth to a litter of five kittens in a yard where she had been getting food from. The kittens are her everything.
But her world turned upside down, when she entered another yard where she was faced with brutality, and it left her paralyzed.
Her determination to care for her babies kept her alive, and she dragged herself back to the place where she left her babies.
