This Dog Takes The Bus By Itself Everyday To Go To The Park

Eclipse is a black Labrador retriever mix and a regular on the D-Line through Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood.

“All the bus drivers know her. She sits here just like a person does,” fellow rider Tiona Rainwater told KOMO. “She makes everybody happy. How could you not love this face?”

It all started one day at the bus stop, when her owner, Jeff Young, took too long to finish his cigarette. Upon the arrival of the bus, Eclipse hopped in without him, and just got off to the park where they were headed together. Eclipse enjoys the bus-riding so much she took her solitary trips to the park almost every day since then, meeting her owner later on directly at the park.

Study Shows Dog Owners Live Longer, Healthier Lives

A new study recently published in Scientific Reports suggests that owning a dog will add years to your life.

A team of Swedish scientists at Uppsala University tracked the health and dog ownership status of more than 3.4 million Swedes aged 40 to 80 years old for 12 years. No one involved had a history of cardiovascular disease.

Everyone in Sweden has a unique personal ID number, all hospital visits are recorded, and dog ownership registration is mandatory, which makes it the perfect case study for this type of research.

Their study found that dog owners were less at risk of dying from cardiovascular disease and other causes.

Human Foods That You Can And Cannot Feed To Your Dog

We know it’s best to avoid feeding man’s best friend with table scraps, but sometimes those puppy-dog eyes get the best of us and we can’t resist slipping them a treat from our plates.

But just because a food is good for us doesn’t necessarily mean it’s safe for dogs.

Here’s a list of dog-approved people foods, as well as some items you should never share with your canine companion.

Keep in mind though that every dog is different, so try these foods in small amounts, and if your dog has a reaction to any of them, consult a veterinarian.
