When Charlie, an 11-year-old Golden Retriever lost both his due to glaucoma, his caring owners decided to get him a companion — sort of like his own “seeing eye” dog.

They brought home a golden retriever puppy named Maverick on New Year’s Day

Although the two didn’t initially get along, they’ve since become best of friends— with Charlie relying on the puppy for nearly everything, from walking, playing, eating, and even using him as a pillow!

This guard dog was rescued by firefighters who found him chained to a tree at a homeless camp during a fire in West Palm Beach, two years ago.

It suffered third-degree burns and howled with pain when rescuers rushed him to Jupiter Pet Emergency and Specialty Centre.

“The little guy was burned up pretty good,” Captain Gordon stated. “Even when we grabbed him, he was very distressed. I was concerned whether he would live.”

New Loving Owner Saves Obese Golden Retriever From Being Euthanized And Helped Him Lose 100 Pounds

Kai the Golden Retriever weighed a astounding 173 pounds when Pam Heggie started fostering him — more than 100 pounds overweight for an adult golden retriever.

Her veterinarian, told her, “This is the most overweight animal I have ever seen.”

Kai’s previous family took him to the vet to be euthanized because he had a hard time getting up. However, the vet stepped in and contacted the Misfits of Alberta Animal Rescue, which helped put Heggie together with Kai.

She didn’t even know where to start when she started fostering him.

When she first got home with Kai, he was so overweight it took him 20 minutes to climb the stairs and get through the door.

Dying Veterans Last Wish To Be Reunited With His Dog Granted In Emotional Reunion

The dying wish of a veteran to see his beloved dog for one final time has been granted.

69-year-old John Vincent asked a social worker if he could say one last goodbye to his five-year-old Yorkie, Patch.

Without a second thought, employees at both the hospice care and Albuquerque Animal Welfare, where Patch was up for adoption, arranged to have Mr Vincent’s wish met.

For the past 12 years, a Chesapeake-Lab mix named Bruno has been regularly walking four miles (eight miles round trip) to downtown Longville from his country home to socialize, collect treats, and hang around. His almost daily commute has made Bruno a beloved town legend.

“Everybody knows Bruno,” resident Sharon Rouse told KARE11 News. “[You] may not know the people, but you’ll know Bruno.”

Stray Dog Can’t Stop Smiling After Being Rescued Off The Street

Surviving the streets of Brooklyn New York City is no easy feat for a human, let alone a dog. Such was the case for Brinks, until he met a special human named Jon, who happened to be out walking his own dog Demo one day when his life would change forever. Brinks, an outgoing pup, went over to the two of them to say hi, and all three hit it off instantly.

Jon took Brinks home with him, and went out aggressively searching for his owners, posting missing dog flyers, canvassing his neighborhood. After he was unable to successfully locate Brinks owners, he adopted him into his home, at 11 months of age. Today, Brinks is a remarkable 13 years old and still as happy as the day they found each other.
