While the AI-generated art debate rages on, some are taking it in a more harmless fun direction by making imagined shows with existing casts. That’s what Reddit user u/reddimatz did at least, reimagining Game of Thrones as a Friends-style sitcom. While some important characters are noticeably missing (This Jaqen H’ghar disrespect WILL NOT stand), the others are a pretty on-point interpretation, terrible nineties fashion and all.
Most of the characters look uncharacteristically happy, notably Westeros’ #1 sad boy Jon Snow looking like he’s having a ball wearing an outfit best described as a traffic sign disaster. Please note Sean Bean’s flowing mullet and connected head, as well as the multiple instances where the AI forgets that humans are supposed to laugh normally and not like a Too Many Cooks character. Gwendoline Christie and Iain Glenn steal the uncanny valley award though, providing things I’ll see in night terrors for years to come.
Rounding out the cast we have Hodor opening the door instead of holding it, and Jack Gleeson looking like the world’s saddest dictator. The most puzzling thing about the whole series though, is that even this artificial intelligence managed to remember that Ghost existed by the end while the show just… left him behind? Justice for Ghost.
