For most of us, we think of antibiotics as something that helps us when we’re sick. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that every type of antibiotic is good for us or that complications don’t happen.
In the case of Indonesian Youtuber Ricard Siagian the side effects from a particular course of antibiotics turned out to be fatal, most notably a complete inability to sleep.

Some people think that declawing is a simple surgery that removes a cats nails, this is not true. Declawing involves amputation of the last bone of each toe, removing claws changes the way a cats foot meets the ground and can cause pain similar to wearing an uncomfortable pair of shoes. There can also be regrowth of improperly removed claws, nerve damage and bone spurs. Most cats will become biters because they no longer have their claws as a defense. Cats scratch to remove dead husks from their claws, mark territory and stretch muscles.

My dog has had epilepsy for over six years but because she also has a heart murmur every time she had an episode, our old vet would want expensive ekg’s and start talking about heart meds.
We take one video of her episode and immediately the new vet says that has nothing to do with cardiovascular ailment, that’s neurological. And she’s been fine since on the right meds.

Around 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized each year in the United States simply because too many people give up their pets, and too few people adopt from shelters.
Because there is limited space at shelters, staff members sometimes need to make very hard decisions to euthanize animals who haven’t been adopted.
The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them.
By adopting from a private humane society or animal shelter, rescue group, or the local animal-control agency, you’ll help save the lives of two animals—the pet you adopt and a homeless animal somewhere who can be rescued because of space you helped free up.

1. You go on a road trip together and still like each other at the end of it. Traveling together in general is a great test of a relationship. Packing, airports, cabs, foreign languages, etc. Being able to navigate all the potentially stressful aspects of traveling and still have a good time together is a huge green flag in my opinion.

Hear the word “leopon” and you may think it’s a type of Pokémon. It’s a real animal that exists on planet Earth. It’s a crossed-bred big cat. Think of mules (mixes of donkeys and horses) or dog breeds (cockapoos, goldendoodles, etc.). Another group of four-legged friends whose genetics can get crossed, members of the genus Panthera can produce a whole new slew of furry predators, the leopon included.

In 1917, bull terriers had no place in the war. Mascots were limited to sports teams and service dogs were limited to the police force. Strict regulations forbade animals from living on military grounds. It’s for these reasons that no one would have expected a stray mongrel to end up becoming one of the most decorated soldiers who served in the First World War. From Connecticut to the Allied front line in France and back again, one dog changed the course of history for its entire species.

Dogs are absolutely the best! They are always excited to see us and they can turn any bad day around. And in the case of a dog in Turkey, she waited outside a hospital for almost a week when her owner was taken in for treatment.
The dog, named Boncuk (which means bead) followed an ambulance to the hospital where Cemal Senturk had been taken and even though Senturk’s family took Boncuk home, the determined dog returned to the hospital every day and waited outside.
