Justine Maurer, Allegra’s mother, is also involved in the entertainment industry, albeit in a different capacity. She is a costumer for films, working behind the scenes to help bring characters to life through their wardrobe. Education
She pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre at Northwestern University from 2018 to 2022. During her time at Northwestern, she was deeply involved in the university’s theatre scene, particularly with Vertigo Productions, the only Northwestern theatre organization devoted entirely to producing student-written work and supporting Northwestern writers.
From March 2020, Allegra took on the role of Production Chair at Vertigo Productions. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the five performances that ran in Northwestern’s Shanley Pavilion. Her duties included ensuring that the rehearsal, artistic, and business processes ran smoothly and communicating with team members on all fronts to make sure their work was high-quality and stress-free. She also facilitated weekly production meetings and emails to ensure clarity and efficiency within the team.
In addition to her work with Vertigo Productions, Allegra also gained professional acting experience with Stewart Talent, where she has been working as an actor since January 2020 and in the summer of 2019, Allegra interned at the Signature Theatre in New York as a Literary Intern.
Acting Career
Allegra would resume her acting career In 2019 and appeared in the short film “Lockdown,” where she played the character Marie. This role marked a shift from her previous voice acting work, allowing her to explore live-action performance.
Allegra continued to expand her acting repertoire in 2022 with appearances in two television series. She played the character Emma in an episode of “New Amsterdam,” credited as Allegra Sky Leguizamo. She also appeared in an episode of “The Equalizer,” playing the role of Giggling Girl #1.
In 2023, Allegra took on two new roles. She appeared in another short film titled “Scotty’s Vag.” The same year, she played the character Shinja Eliza in the film “Tin Soldier.”

Allegra has a brother named Lucas Leguizamo, who also had voice parts in the Ice Age movie.
