Anna Lore is an upcoming actress known for roles in sci-fi tv shows and psychological thrillers and is set to appear in the upcoming CW show Gotham Knights
From Dubuque, Iowa, Anna Lore (pronounced “lorry”) was born on March 15, 1993. In 2012, she moved to L.A. where she has lived since, pursuing her career in acting.
Not much is known about her early years besides what she herself has said in interviews about her introduction to the acting world.
Acting Career
Anna began acting at an early age. She played a role in A Christmas Carol at only six years old alongside her mother. The whole family acted.
Her childhood was spent on stage at the Plains Theatre in Rushville, NE. However, Anna says her professional career started when she was older.
Anna credits her break into acting with her gut-decision to shave her head, which landed her extra work in the sitcom Community.
At 19 years old, she signed up as an extra. Her background work let her network with others in the industry, helping her gain a commercial connection.
Anna’s first credit is a starring role on Frankenstein, MD. It’s a horror/comedy spin-off of the famous Frankenstein story.
It was a YouTube production of 24 episodes, each running around 5-8 minutes.
The Bright Sessions
Science fiction is Anna’s field, and her preference for the genre is seen throughout most of her work.
Since 2015, she’s been in a fiction podcast that tells the story of therapy patients with supernatural abilities.
The Bright Sessions is a radioplay written by Lauren Shippen who also stars as one of the main patients.
Miss 2059
In Miss 2059, Anna gets beamed into space where she plays intergalactic character Daphnii in Miss 2059, a web series that ran for two seasons.
The show focuses on beauty queen Victoria, who always lives in her militaristic sister Arden’s shadow, until she’s accidentally beamed into a tournament in her sister’s place.
Doom Patrol
Anna chose sides in the superhero world and made her first DC début – and first non-web tv début – in HBO’s Doom Patrol.
Anna plays one of main character Jane’s many identities, Penny Farthing, for a couple of episodes in which Penny helps Jane mentally conquer her past and memories of her abusive father.
All American
Next, Anna left the sci-fi realm to play Carrie in nine episodes of All American, a CW drama based on the real life story of NFL footballer Spencer Paysinger. Carrie is a suicidal alcoholic with abandonment issues.
They/Them
They/Them brings Anna back into the psychological realm and into her first, full-length feature film, in which she plays camper Kim who is subjected to a LGBTQ+ conversion camp ran by Kevin Bacon. The drama turns into a thriller as the camp is set upon by a murderer.
Katie
Katie is a series of microshorts written by Anna herself, filmed in 2018. The episodes are very short and portray a physical manifestation of Anna’s inner self.
Gotham Knights
Superheroes have plastered our cinema screens and home television sets for years now, and only keep getting better. A new, upcoming DC Comics series called Gotham Knights is set to premier in 2023 for The CW.
The show is slated to take place in the renown fictional city of Gotham and center around the Batman family, as well as other well-known DC characters.
It takes place after Bruce Wayne dies and focuses on his adopted son, Turner Hayes, accused of causing his late father’s death. Alongside all of Batman’s enemies’ children, Turner works to clear his name.
Anna plays Stephanie Brown, the daughter of Cluemaster, one of Batman’s enemies. Stephanie is a coder raised on brain teasers and puzzles, as befits her father’s super villain name.
The character of Stephanie has existed in DC Comics since the ‘90s and has a lot of storyline behind her, slating Anna for a potentially hefty DC career.
Personal Life
While Anna leads a loud life on social media, active on both Instagram and TikTok, not many facts are known about her.
It is confirmed that Anna is in a relationship with actor, writer, but mostly wrestler Ryan Nemeth.
