California Dreams
“California Dreams” is a teen sitcom from the United States that was broadcast on NBC between September 12, 1992, and December 14, 1996. The show was a part of NBC’s Saturday morning lineup, known as TNBC. The creators of the show, Brett Dewey and Ronald B. Solomon, along with executive producer Peter Engel, were all previously involved in “Saved by the Bell.”
The plot of the series revolves around a group of teenage friends who come together to form a band, aptly named “California Dreams.” Starting from the second season, the cast began to diversify, reflecting a multi-ethnic ensemble. Throughout its five seasons, the show featured 40 original songs, primarily composed by Steve Tyrell, which were performed by the band.
Uribe’s character, was introduced in the first episode of the third season, The Unforgiven.
When the Garrison family left town, Sam was in need of a new host family. Fortunately, the newly introduced character, Lorena Costa, and her affluent family were eager to take her in. Lorena quickly became an integral part of the band. She took on roles as one of the vocalists, a co-manager, and also emerged as a love interest.
Uribe was in 47 episode and 3 seasons of the show.

Was she apart of the California Dreams Reunions?
On March 4, 2010, the primary cast from the initial two seasons of “California Dreams” came together for a reunion on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
They performed a unique rendition of the show’s theme song, which included vocals from both Heidi Noelle Lenhart and Jennie Kwan, the latter having replaced Lenhart in the second season.
Notably absent from the reunion were cast members Aaron Jackson and Diana Uribe.
Uribe was also notable absent from another California Dreams reunion concert which was held in 2019.
The idea for the reunion concert came from series stars Jennie Kwan and Kelly Packard, who saw the enthusiastic reaction of the crowd at another 90s concert and thought they could do something similar. The concert was held at Saved by the Max, a “Saved by the Bell” pop-up restaurant, and celebrated the spirit and songs of the classic youth programming.
For the reunion concert, Kwan and Packard brought back their old cast mates Michael Cade, Aaron Jackson, and William James Jones.
They also invited special guests, including singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera, to be honorary members of the Dreams for the evening. The set list included classics from the sitcom, with the theme song opening and closing the show.
